I needed to vent, because I played Multiversus today for 4 hours straight...and this game is a blast! If I can get standalone Steve, that's what I'll get for collecting purposes, I'm not really interested in character. Other than both Bayonettas in my collection, what's the point of having two virtually identical characters? At least the Player 2 variations come in different poses. Earlier this year in February, these amiibo were delayed due to "logistics and production" issues, but now we've finally got an official launch date - confirming both of these amiibo will be arriving on 9th September.

Minecraft is an important enough franchise that I think it deserves a place with the rest of my Smash Bros. amiibo collection, but I don't really care that much about the game itself and have no interest in getting anything beyond the flagship character. The posture of the figures is fitting I guess to the source material but damn I wish they could have done something more original with the sculpts. Maybe different weapons? Items?It’s the same plastic mould all they had to due is change the paint hence why they’re doing this it’s easy money. Seeing how basic these are... they should have been 2 for the price of 1 .... kind of like Game & Watch ... in which his amiibo was so basic that they had to include more models/poses to make up for the price. Granted I like having Trunks/Android No.17 in my collection, but I would've liked to have Gogan there next to Pac-Man, too. As well as the major news that Kingdom Hearts' Sora has taken Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's final roster spot, last week's Direct also revealed that Steve and Alex will be receiving amiibo figures next year. Nintendo is still busy producing amiibo for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the next batch as you might recall are Steve and Alex from Mojang's survival, crafting and building game Minecraft.

It sounds like Steve and Alex will still be released as amiibo sometime this year, so at least they haven’t been delayed to 2023. After Steve and Alex, you can expect a Sephiroth amiibo, one or two figures based on Pyra and Mythra, an amiibo for Kazuya Mishima, and of course, one last amiibo for the game’s final DLC fighter, Sora. It's easier to notice if you count the "pixels" in their arms, you'll see Steve arms are actually one pixel wider. ugh. Just like with Terry, I couldn't care less about these Amiibo. But I so far have a complete Smash collection, so of course I'm going to have to buy them :/ I need to buy these for my Nintendo x Minecraft collection.
