Just throw me in a ditch and forget about me 🥲 The tension, characters and the tropes in this book were simply amazing. This book made me swoon and so giddy. I love it with all of my heart. Shay Zucconi had literally been left at the altar, surrounded by friends, dressed in her wedding dress ready to be married when her husband to be called it off via one life changing phone call. Feeding into her abandonment issues since she was a child. Finding out that she had inherited a tulip farm from her grandmother was the perfect escape, but that escape came with some tight stipulations. To inherit she had to marry within the year. Andie was alone in the world with a drinking habit that was out of control and a Boston policeman who knew her favorite coffee for the morning after. When she awoke with a raging hangover, a call from a Georgia attorney saying her deceased grandmother had left her an estate worth millions of dollars, well, she wasn’t so sure this wasn’t an alcohol induced hallucination! And, if something is too good to be true…

I'm a romance lover, so of course I thoroughly enjoyed the progression of the Andie/Gunnar relationship in this book. They both had plenty of issues and secrets that stood in the way of them finding happiness together, including the evil ex who broke Gunnar's heart but still isn't done with him. I was rooting for these two and loved how everyone in town was trying to push them toward each other. What's really heartwarming about In a Jam is that Andie doesn't just find a man to fill the emptiness in her heart; she finds a whole community of people who slowly, but surely, become her surrogate family. She has to work hard to win some of them over while others accept her with open arms. It's gratifying to see Andie grow as a person throughout the book and start caring about others besides herself.This book was so good! This was such a sweet and heartwarming romance about love, second chances, and discovering your happiness. In a Jam follows Shay, a kindergarten teacher who was left at the alter and discovers that she inherited a tulip farm. The only catch is, she has to move to Friendship, Rhode Island and she must be married in a year. Shay and her friend from high school, Noah decide to fake marry so she can inherit the farm. What will happen next?

I haven’t stayed up to binge a book in 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴 and there I was reading a silly little rom com that had me in a chokehold from chapter 3. Except this is so much more than a silly little rom com. It’s an emotional and has so much depth and I loved every second of it. I can't give this book 5 stars because I felt like one or two questions should have been answered regarding why Andie has no relationship with her Father and Grandmother. I really wish that we got an answer to those questions, it would have really finalised the book for me. I also wish that we got to know Gunnar's parents and family a little bit more, I think that in other Dorminy novels that I have read, we have had the opportunity to get to know some of the main protagonists parents and family members, whereas perhaps because the characters are a little bit older in this novel, they don't have much of an effect on the characters lifestyles. Nevertheless, I think that I would have appreciated reading about the dynamic between Gunnar and his Mother and Father. After Cuddles is blown off the stage from the intense volume of the speakers, he is seen lying in a pool of blood even though he is not bleeding.

i adored this book, the small town setting and all the characters especially gennie—the foul mouthed, unhinged, pirate loving 6 year old was the perfect addition and the STAR to this book.
