Katherine inherited a 100 million when her philandering husband died in a boating accident a few years previously on the same yacht. The wife is remarried and worth a lot of money so when weird things keep happening to the boat, theres a clear motive for murder.

In this list, you’ll find books about sailing around the world, first-hand accounts of daring Antarctic adventures, true crime nautical thrillers, and meditative musings about life at sea. Here's an idea: Put in less content and make the content that actually is there MEANINGFUL to the reader. The Pacific Northwest history is absolutely fascinating and Raban is a deep and thoughtful soul who you can’t help but empathize with. At 18 years old, Tania Aebi was going nowhere, until her father presented her with an ultimatum: she could go to college or get a boat. It is pretty obvious that those 16 competitors are not „holiday sailors“ – they have been preparing for this race for months and they even hired some sleep specialists to achieve better results.

If you’re not interested in meaningful character analysis and just want a romping good adventure, this is highly recommended. She didn't like the cursing at the beginning, but told me that the book was so good that she ended up overlooking that and said that it got better and finished it within a couple days.

His hit man kills him after a court case where he won a bunch of money from the wife then the hit man gets killed by a lady cop who knew the situation all along. You can not put a sink to your ear, the smell and sound of the sea will be felt while reading this story.

Surprisingly, this was the VERY FIRST James Patterson book I read, and before reading it, I was not into reading books at all, not since I was much younger, in high school. Anything about Éric Tabarly, there are one or two bios and he wrote one account of his winning the BOAC.To wrap things up, if you like an action packed adventure filled with a lot of plot twists, clichés, and WTF moments then this book is for you. The classic nautical novel was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1953 and is one of the author’s most famous works. His sailing books are must-reads for those who dream of straying from the beaten path and sailing in high-latitudes.
