The 4ms refresh rate is another feature that confirms this is not a gaming display. This value is clearly not suitable for gaming, as it falls short of the 1ms ratio typically used for gaming monitors. It does however have Freesync, which will reduce screen tearing and make everything even smoother in combination with the high refresh rate. To reinforce this, they chose a color gamut of 99 percent RGB, which is clearly not the ideal choice for a VA display like this one since it produces less vibrant colors, which would be better for a contrast-focused panel like this one. Dell is a resounding name when it comes to computer electronics, as they have been around for quite some time. What’s more, they always manage to deliver quality products that are on a level few others can even achieve. Premium sound: Feel life-like sound, pulsating beats and a bigger overall experience with built-in dual 5W speakers. Knowing this, Dell decided to keep the ratio at a reasonable level, not too high but not too low. This monitor has a native brightness of 300 nits, which is a low/mid-range value for max display brightness.

This 27-inch display has a sleek design, with very thin bezels and small footprint stand so it doesn’t take too much space on your desktop. More detailed, stunning colors: Vertical Alignment (VA) display technology delivers an expanded contrast ratio of 3000:1, together with 99% sRGB wider color coverage, so you can see rich colors, greater depth, and a wider range of shades.

Estimated valueis Dell’s estimate of product value based on industry data, including the prices at which third-party retailers have offered or valued the same or comparable products, in its most recent survey of major online and/or off-line retailers. Third-party retailer data may not be based on actual sales. Accidental Damage-Additional Information: Accidental Damage Service excludes theft, loss, and damage due to fire, flood or other acts of nature, or intentional damage. Customer may be required to return damaged unit to Dell. Limit of 1 qualified incident per contract year. The point here is, if you need color accuracy to work with the media edition, this is not the monitor for you, and the LG 34WP85C-B is right now at a better value and has great colors for its price range. By the way, assuming you aren’t comparing both 100 percent of the time, the colors of this display are very acceptable, and they are even better than some of the usual screens in the price range such as the LG 34WP60C-B.

Speaking of FreeSync, the S3422DWG offers FreeSync premium but is not certified to work with G-Sync on Nvidia cards. Many of the monitors I've reviewed work with G-Sync anyway when forced on in the Nvidia control panel, and for the most part, Dell's offering worked with my Nvidia card – albeit with some quirks. At the native resolution of 3440x1440, for example, Nvidia's Pendulum Demo worked decently well – but if I dropped down to a different resolution, I would notice a fair amount of stuttering and tearing, even though G-Sync was enabled. I haven't experienced this on other monitors, so it's worth noting, since it could be indicative of less-than-perfect compatibility, and you may notice some quirks in certain games depending on your settings. FreeSync worked beautifully when connected to my AMD card, however. Dell S3422DWG - Gaming Be in the action: The curved 1800R screen expands your field of vision with an ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio and provides a wrap-around view for an enhanced cinematic experience. We’ll get further into colors and image accuracy in the image quality section, but for now, you should note that this monitor has very washed-out colors out of the box. Of course, you can tweak them to look a little bit better, but it will hardly meet the requirements for professional use even if you do so.

That said, it does have its benefits over the IPS, and those are generally why some people still prefer this panel, even if it means having to bear with all of the downsides mentioned above. See every detail: 34” 1800R curved screen with 21:9 aspect ratio and 3-sided ultra-thin bezels that envelop you with minimal distractions. The thing is, at the top of the heap, the is still easily securing its position: LG 34WP65C-B which is an even better monitor than this one, except for some fewer features such as ports and lower brightness. But it is still the best in terms of price to performance since it has even better speakers than this one, better smoothness, and cheaper prices. No matter where you are in the room, you will see the splendid Full HD image of the Dell SE2719H monitor because it has a 178°/178° viewing angle thanks to the IPS technology.
