Description

When assembling the structure, you can install platforms at different heights. For example, when you climb up the built-in ladder, you can access the lower level platform through a trapdoor. From there, you can climb up further to a higher platform. This ensures that the structure of the tower fully supports you as you climb up to the top. The tower’s components should be inspected at different intervals, and records should always be kept of this. Scaffold towers are freestanding and self-supporting, so they don't need to lean against a wall or building.

This will depend on the type of roofing work being undertaken . For example, a ladder may be suitable for lower-level roofs; however, you may feel a mobile scaffold tower is better suited for investigating and completing minor repairs, or some may find a traditional steel tube and fittings scaffold is better suited for their job. This is the maximum amount of weight that the structure can hold safely. Most of these products can handle at least 150kg, which sounds a lot, but if you’re going to be loading up the platform with paint cans, power tools, etc. that max load can soon be reached. So, be careful and do a bit of mental arithmetic before getting up there on that platform. Stability It is advised that you do not climb on the outside of any scaffold tower as this could cause it to tip and fall over. Also, never climb on the horizontal or diagonal braces. Please follow the safety tips in the product manual. When you want to move an erected tower, reduce the height to at least 4m first. Look out for power cable and other obstructions overhead. Holding on to the base, push or pull the tower manually to move it across a flat surface. Do not move a tower if anyone or anything is on the platform. Platform can be set in increments of 300mm /12" giving superb flexibility and providing comfortable working over a variety of heights

For your safety - Tower is climbed internally through a trap door in the platform which is then lowered and becomes part of the platform The Home Master DIY scaffold tower is one of the easiest to set up that I have ever gotten my hands on. The lightweight aluminium components are a doddle to move around, and little, thoughtful, design features like the colour coded braces, make things really straightforward. Towers are available in a wide range of sizes. The ‘Tower Height’ is measured to the of the top handrail, which is 1m above the platform, where your feet will be. The ‘working height’ of a tower is 1m above the handrail. This is going by the average person having a reach of about 2m. So, for example, if you need to reach 6m up for a job, a 5.2m tower height would be perfect for you.All towers above 9.7m are only recommended for internal use.A revised European standard for these towers was published in November 2020, known as EN 1004-1:2020 (published by BSI in the UK as BS EN 1004-1:2020). It replaced EN 1004:2004, the previous version, which was then withdrawn in November 2021. The -1 in the number means part 1. The maximum distance between platform heights should not exceed 2.25m, and the total height to the first platform should not exceed 3.4m. Supporting access equipment – Never use a scaffolding tower as support for trestles, ladders, or any other type of access equipment; this could cause serious injuries. Highly visible inspection record tags should be attached to the scaffold tower, allowing operatives to see when a tower is ready for use. What you see is what you get with our tower range- often you have to pay extra for platforms, wheels etc. with inferior, steel alternatives. Some even have unsafe/unfixed scaffold boards to stand on
