The low-ranges of Kanto YU4 are impressive for its size. At high volumes where you can feel a tab boom, the low-range is controlled well. Even at typical listening volumes, you won’t have any issues in the notes. It produces vocals at the level of clarity and crispness. What is the range of Bluetooth? Why crazy? Actually wishing to cram one hi-fi component into the same chassis as another is asking for trouble in the form of veiling noise, the like of which will creep from one component to another. Then there’s excess vibration that is a noted result of using a speaker in the first place. This stuff affects the performance of everything else in the same chassis. Daft, that’s what it is.The important thing to note though is the ease at which a subwoofer can be integrated into a setup to totally mitigate this issue. One to bear in mind but by no means a deal-breaker as overall sound quality is good. When we first saw it, we were concerned if the size of the Kanto YU4 would kneecap their performance. But we are happy this isn’t the case.

Overall, these speakers filled the room well and provided impressive performance when streaming both music and movies, but really came into their own when placed a little closer. Audioengine also offers high-quality replacement parts and accessories for different applications. If you are planning to place it on a cabinet, you don’t have to worry about the surface; the two sets of four adhesive feet prevent scratches. If you want to use the speakers as near-field devices, Kanto does supply stands that angle the speakers upwards to 16 degrees. I wasn’t supplied with these so I’m afraid I could not test them. I've not played around with any settings on the kanto speakers - they are as they were out of the box.
