No care for the logistics, just straight up “I love two men, it’s okay” except in a NON-polyamorous way. His level of devotion was next-level and I loved how he was ruthless and unyielding with everyone except for Darcy. The way the storyline is set up was perfect, keeping me hooked while wondering what could possible happening next. He was gaslighting her, possessive of her, took a chunk of flesh out of her neck for the pleasure of it, committed murder over her, seemed to have a thing for eating her out on her period, at one point it was implied that he had raped her.

I walked this during January and encountered no fences at all between the gate near the road and the tunnel mouth itself. How about the massive plot hole when “Caleb” takes Darcy out to the cabin and she wakes up thinking she’d been raped? there are a few graphic rape scenes that don’t add to the story and are definitely there for shock value. She tells me of a male fox she helped raise and how seeing it in the distance, her dog would run up to it and play, yet it remained wary of humans. The dale is a SINC due to its species rich chalk grassland and because of the quarry which is noted for bee orchids and butterflies.Where so many previously trusted authors have gone down the cheating plot route or being with others during separation (which always spoils it for me) this author has continued to give us characters who know the true definition of being soulmates and the word faithful. This doesn't connect with Fairy dale as far as I know, which is on the right of the tunnel, whereas the path brings you from the left.

Now if writing is big deal to you (just as it is for me) consider that the writing in this book seems very amateur, kinda reads like a Wattpad fanfiction, it's not horrible though and hey that kind of writing is not always a complete turn-off (sometimes I can get past it if the story is good and I like the characters). Fairy Dale is a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC), there are also two Regionally Important Geological and Geomorphological Sites (RIGS), a disused railway line including an entrance to an old rail tunnel, the faint remains of pre-historic hill fortifications, and it’s very own legend. but this book could have been cut in half—even with the longevity of timespan—and still have been ~500 pages. I fell in love (most importantly), I CRIED, I laughed (a little too loudly sometimes😂🙈), I was SO SCARED at certain scenes (in fact I was so scared I needed to sleep with the lights on one night🙈😂), I experienced everything and more.

That's a lot for a single story, and all of that may work well for some other book, but I don't think this is the case. You're allowed to get jealous and consequently off people, but I'm not, because you will kill them before I can even get jealous.
