Beyerdynamic felt it was time to update their masterpiece using the latest technologies and so they created the DT1770PRO, the first professional headphone with their already famous Tesla 2. The Amplifier/DACs used in this review were the SPL Phonitor XE (with built-in DAC), Grace Design SDAC + Topping A90, and the JDS Labs Element II connected via USB to my desktop computer.

For more information about beyerdynamic headphones, continue reading our reviews – DT 240 Pro, DT 770 Pro, DT 900 Pro X, DT 880 Pro, and DT 990 Pro. Thanks to the closed-back design of the DT1770 Pros, it's incredibly easy to zone-out and get lost in the music. Released in 2016, the DT 1770 Pro serves as the successor to Beyerdynamic’s classic and extremely popular DT 770 Pro. You'll be able to listen and enjoy your favourite albums, tracks, and playlists, without disturbing those around you.

I am currently considering the beyer DT 1770 Pro, but have been reading some negative reviews and I am stumped. That being said, mixing and monitoring benefits from different headphone attributes than home listening and so sacrificing frequency response for e. Desire to learn and share knowledge of science required as is 20 years of participation in forums (not all true). Ultimately I could speak volumes as to how these headphones made me feel, but it's truly something you ought to experience for yourself. In comparison, I find the bass on the DT1990 Pro to have much better definition and while the extension may not go quite as low, the bass frequencies in general are much more coherent.

They have an excellent imaging performance, like most Beyerdynamic headphones we've tested, which indicates the manufacturer's good quality control and ergonomics. Let’s have an in-depth look at Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro, the fancy cousin of one of the most successful studio closed-backs, the DT 770 Pro.

With their detailed sound profile, these headphones deliver a superior audio experience, immersing you in your favorite music, movies, or games. The BeyerDynamic DT1770 Pro Closed Back (250 Ohm) Headphones cement themselves as a paragon of the brand's distinguished craftsmanship and innovative engineering. While mixing with such a headphone, you're constantly left wondering if the mix itself is sibilant and needs EQing, or if it's the DT1990's middle finger of treble that makes the mix sibilant.

Break-up vibrations are also rendered a thing of the past thanks to the inclusion of a innovative triple-layer compound membrane. Overall, they have few moving parts and are built like premium headphones that should last you a while. Unfortunately I didn’t make a video at the time, so there is no version to watch on YouTube, however, I will be making some comparisons (as is expected) throughout this review).

Please Note: Due to the 250 Ohm impedance, the DT1770 Pro Headphones are designed for hi-fi, studio, and live applications. The DT 1770 PRO has won over sound engineers and studio users with its impressive sound quality and workmanship. Beyerdynamic describes the circumaural (over ear) DT1770PRO as a closed studio reference headphones for mixing, mastering, monitoring and recording and it is the evolution of a studio legend.
