The Bumper Jacksons

July 3/HAULEY – 6-8 p.m. at Harmony in the Woods. The Bumper Jacksons elegantly balance paying homage to the traditions while fashioning their own unique, playful style. The group began as a duo, a city-meets-country experiment between songstress Jess Eliot Myhre andhttps://www.visitpa.com/event/bumper-jacksons banjo player Chris Ousley. Quickly growing into a fiery five-piece, with horns and pedal steel, they now tour internationally, and have been honored multiple times as the Mid-Atlantic’s “Artist of the Year,”  “Best Country/Americana Band” & “Best Folk Band” at the Washington Area Music Awards. The success of the band’s last three albums – I’ve Never Met A Stranger (2017), Too Big World (2015) and Sweet Mama, Sweet Daddy Come In (2014)– demonstrate the ongoing refinement of their scrappy-yet-elegant sound that dives deep for the caramel core of Americana. >MORE
