Enjoy the Animals

The Columbian Park Zoo. located in Columbian Park, is the second oldest zoo in Indiana dating back to 1908. The original animals housed at the zoo included foxes, skunks, pelicans, deer, lynx, prairie dogs and a wolf. Today, the Zoo features several “immersion” exhibits and the animal collection consists of nearly 200 animals representing approximately 90 species. The zoo offers a variety of education programs throughout the year that inspire an appreciation for the world’s wildlife. Enjoy a butterfly garden, petting zoo, gift shop, outdoor art, a “Wild Tykes Play Zone” and more. Admission is free.

This new game is a blend of dodge ball, paintball, and laser tag, combining the best aspects of these sports while adding the skill of archery. Players use bows and special rubber-tipped arrows, and Arrow Tag is a year-round activity that everyone can enjoy. Travel Underground – In a Boat

An hour-long boat tour through Bluespring Caverns brings you up close to the majesty of the underground in a trip as natural as possible. Passages and water-courses are illuminated by the pocket of light that follows your tour boat through the darkness. Visit during a wet period and you will hear and see the power of the underground river. Don’t miss the 1/2 mile nature trail in the Bolton Natural Area. It’s your chance to view one of Indiana’s largest sinkholes (covering 15 acres!).
