About this deal

Melvin makes up lots of dumb facts that almost everyone can say that it's fake. Naomi criticizes Melvin by saying it was her idea anyway and also for copying drawings out of books. Lil Petey and Molly teach the frogs how copying is good and Melvin tattles on her again. After Flippy finishes listening to the baby frogs' stories, he gets angry and starts lecturing about the comic being too immature. Unfortunately, the baby frogs run out of ideas. Raine and Corky get sad because they couldn't finish their comic, then Flippy has a look at their comic. The name was Frankenbarf vs. the bionic barf bunnies from diarrhea land. So he says they couldn't finish their comic because it was immature. Flippy then soon tells everyone that their comics must be wholesome, uplifting and with good values, morals, integrity and upright virtue. The tadpoles get bored and immediately leave. With an empty audience, Flippy tells them that they should have purity, honor and ethics. Then he realizes that the tadpoles have left. Award-winning author and illustrator Dav Pilkey employs a variety of techniques -- including acrylic paints, colored pencils, photography, collage, gouache, watercolors, and more -- to capture the joyful spirit of creativity. The variety of art styles, paired with Pilkey's trademark storytelling and humor, inspires imagination and innovation for readers of all ages.

Poppy tells Pink that it was awesome, but then Kip says that since he didn't make a bad comic, he failed at failing, much to the disappointment of Pink. Flippy says the book was good, but he didn't like the violent ending. Lil' Petey asks who wants to go next, and Pedro says he does. Dav Pilkeyn "Kisuliin sarjiskerho" (Tammi, 2021) -albumissa Koiramies -sarjasta tuttu kissa opettaa sammakonpoikasille sarjakuvien tekemistä. Se on helpommin sanottu kuin tehty. Wendy and Raine's siblings are mad that the book ended in a cliffhanger, and that its sequel won't be showcased until the following week. I am so torn about this book. I get that I am not a member of the intended audience. I don't need to be personally amused by this book. But my job puts me in a position to recommend or not recommend books to children. Is this really what it takes to amuse kids? Poop, death, nuclear explosions?

I read this with my ten year old daughter, but my twelve year old kept coming to listen to it as well. The H.A.C.K.E.R. Brothers were intrigued by Naomi's comic, and they ask her to join the group. But Melvin takes over her decisions and declares that he will protect Naomi at all times. The two siblings start saying that they'll crush those who go against them, and they start laughing menacingly... The baby frogs blame Naomi and Melvin for all their mistakes throughout the past week, but Flippy blames it all on himself. They all try to comfort him using comics. On Day 3, Molly asks the frogs if they made comics last night that seem bad. In response, Poppy showed her comic (The Cute, Little, Fluffy Cloud of Death) and so did K.T (Supa Fail). Pedro also showed his comic, claiming he made an embarrassment not just to him, but others. Li'l Petey then asks the frogs who would like to go first. Pink showed his comic (Monster Cheese Sandwich) last, saying he and his team would like to go first. The names of the Baby Frog Squad are based from breakfast cereals. Frankie is named after Franken Berry, C.C. is named after Count Chocula, and Boo is named after Boo Berry. Brutus, the pink robot, is also named after another breakfast cereal, Fruit Brute.

The newest graphic novel in the #1 bestselling series by Dav Pilkey, the author and illustrator of Dog Man! Baby Flippy is the smallest fish among others in the sea, who was bullied by the sea creatures, drifted in the ocean, and they let him alone. He faces his courage along the way on his journey. Three baby frogs attended the police academy where they study, learning the art of Kung-Fu, and enforcing traffic at the road, until they got tired doing these. One time, a baby frog had an idea, so they worked immediately on the spaceship and flew to save the universe. On their way to Planet #39, the computer alerted with an incoming bully scaring a friend, and the baby frogs bravely facing him to halt their fight. Most of the individual mini-comics the baby frogs create as part of this club are themselves serialized narratives, which both gives kids an incentive to reread the previous books and encourages them to remember several disparate plotlines! The thing that pushed this specific entry in the Cat Kid Comic Club series OVER THE TOP for me was the amazing "sensitivity read" of the publisher rejection. One of the comics presented in Chapter 4 is a reference to a similar fake book 'teased' in the end of Captain Underpants 8. Li'l Petey, Flippy, and Molly introduce the twenty-one rambunctious, funny, and talented baby frogs to the art of comic making. As the story unwinds with mishaps and hilarity, readers get to see the progress, mistakes, and improvements that come with practice and persistence. Much like Dog Man, these books teach kids about empathy and kindness and love and other positive personal values in a way that doesn't feel preachy or didactic! Flippy notices a 3D building and praises the team for improving their drawing skills. Curly shows the class how to make 3D buildings. Naomi bugs Melvin whilst drawing a 3D building and Melvin screams: YOU'RE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! Chapter 4: Big Trouble for Little Melvin [ ]

B&N has some behind-the-scenes material on the book and it looks quite audacious, with photos of models and more. An example:Dogman to pies policjant, który lubi wpadać w kłopoty i innych z nich ratować. Jak każdy superbohater ma swoich przyjaciół i pomocników!

Monster Cheese Sandwich is a comic that which is a bit similar to the Gingerbread Man, due to some events in the two of them making them sound almost the same. The shenanigans are nonstop and the baby frogs' minicomics are funny and full of heart. Creating stories within a story, author and illustrator Dav Pilkey uses a variety of techniques -- including acrylic paints, colored pencils, Japanese calligraphy, photography, collage, gouache, watercolors, and much more -- to portray each frog's perspective. The kaleidoscope of art styles, paired with Pilkey's trademark storytelling and humor, fosters creativity, collaboration, independence, and empathy. Readers of all ages will relish this joyful graphic novel adventure.
