About this deal

The tactile copper leaf provides great tactility, improving the push feel of a Halo True/Holy Panda stem and increasing its tactility.

While these are supposed to be silent, there is a noticeable noise from the stem/leaf interaction of the Zilent that is simply not present in the Boba U4.If you’re looking for a balance, JWK is probably the way to go right now - so in this vein I’d echo recommendations for the T1 Shrimps. I don’t think JWK has a light silent tactile at the moment, but that’s probably a matter of time.

The same trade-off is often true of linear silents as well, but a few manage to stand above the rest of the field in terms of clean sound, representing the closest thing to a best of all worlds example in terms of quiet, crisp, and clean. While the clear-top version is the clear choice for RGB enthusiasts, most others will enjoy the diffused look from the pearl and pink housings. BOBA PLASTIC IS BEING DISCONTINUED AS A RESULT ALL PURPLE & PINK BOBA PLASTIC THAT IS AVAILABLE CURRENTLY IS THE LAST THAT WIL BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE NEW PLASTIC HAS BEEN PRODUCED. I may make other colors available for LT & Bobagums but that will be determined when all of the bases have been used. There will be a new plastic replacing boba plastic that will be added in the future in place of the boba plastics. In contrast with Cherry MX Brown’shollow switch housing, Gazzew Boba switches have tight tolerances in their switch housings, thus causing decreased stem wobble for a stable typing experience. Additionally, MX Brownshave a significant resounding keypress, producing reverb to unnecessary noises and scratches from the housing. However, Gazzew switches do not bear the same struggle as it has a tight switch housing, making their sound profile clear and creamy to the ears of their users.

In sort of a weird juxtaposition to the Zilent V2 comment, the Boba U4 actually feels quite a bit more tactile than the Gateron Silent Brown aside my commentary above about it not quite measuring up to current market expectations. If you wish to “tune” how the Boba U4 sounds, however, you can try a thin or compressible switch film. The pearl housings, when paired with a low-profile case, makes the diffused RGB lighting look perfect under floating keycaps. Should You Lube Boba Switches? Peak Force” is the maximum amount of force required to press and actuate the switch. The peak force required for a tactile switch is typically higher than that of a linear switch with the same spring. The most obvious notable difference between these two switches comes in the comparison of sound, in which the Keebwerk Tacit is noticeably and significantly louder than the Boba U4.
