As the story unfolds, the storyline flows from one book into the next- taking us on a truly incredible journey with characters that will capture your heart and mind. I have spent quite a lot of time reflecting on how to do this boxed set real justice- how do I write a review that will convey just how amazing these books are and give you an idea of the story, without giving away any spoilers. I could go into more detail about what each book is about, but I think that gives away too much and you are better off not knowing too many details and just immersing yourself in the stories. Isabelle, or Izzy, is new to the FBI. She just got her first assignment to a team and is excited to finally be accomplishing the goals that she has been living for her whole life. Izzy also has a past that not many know or understand and that in many ways makes her an Enigma too.

If I could give this book more than five stars I really would. Shandi Boyes has captivated my attention endlessly for the past week as I have devoured every one of the Enigma books. Understood.” His tone is so clipped, I imagine him giving me the one-finger salute before a better idea to even the score pops into his head. “And I appreciate your belief she’ll beg for me to come inside. I’m a pretty lovabl—”Isaac Holt lives and breathes his empire. He started it with nothing but his own blood, sweat, and tears. And he has no intentions of letting anything or anyone get in the way of his empire’s success. “My business is my empire. I worked relentlessly for years to get where I am. I eat, breathe, and sleep for my empire. Nothing has ever been able to divert my attention away from my goals and aspirations for the past five years. Nothing at all. Until I saw her.” The her is Isabelle and his eternal weakness. Something about her touches him and makes him have a soft spot for her no matter what he does to try and stay away. Eventually he gives in and tries to make it all about her, and devote himself romantically to her, vowing to be her protector for as long as he is alive. They never followed the rules at all. Especially during her murder trial, they were completely careless about seeing each other without real regards to the consequences.

It's like we spent this novel questioning the case against Isaac Holt. I am still here wondering, what was the point of it all? Enigma: The Complete Collection is a boxed set that contains the first four books in the Enigma series by Shandi Boyes. The four books are; Now, Elle I do love her character and I shouldn't be so hard on her weakness because yeah, Isaac can turn me the hell on, so out in the real world I'd probably behave as she does. One huge surprise concerning her, for me was who and what her Father is This series has by far exceeded my expectations, the author has written a series to be very proud of. Not many authors can keep my attention over so many books by this one has. In fact I could happily read more about Isaac and Izzy and I really do hope that they pop up in any future stories! 5 stars is not enough for this book or any of them. The series as a whole was for me just out of this world. It’s definitely going to be one that I will read over and over again just so I can lose myself in the sexy mysterious world of Mr Isaac Holt – Shandi Boyes thank you for bringing him into my life! It isn’t until fate throws these two into each other’s lives that things get really interesting. She falls at the feet of Isaac Holt and he is smitten with her right away. The first real problem with that is that he doesn’t do relationships or commitments. He has been burned far too badly in the past to go down that road again. “I don’t have time for relationships. If we do this, I need you to be fully aware that this is a one-time-only deal. There won’t be any calls in the morning, no dates next week. It took me a year to realize that this review would never be perfect. It would never fully encompass everything that this book means to me. It will never fully encompass what Isaac is and what he means to me, after all he is an Enigma 😉 Isabelle lost her family at a young age and was raised by her Uncle Tobias who was a great role model for her. Isabelle is on her way to her new job in a new town when she literally falls down to the feet of the most handsome man with grey eyes she has ever met. She enjoys her plane ride after meeting him because she is scared of flying this perfect (and I mean perfect in every way) stranger helped her through the scary part. Isabelle meets new people and works hard at her job put can’t quit thinking about those eyes and that man who she needs to stay far away from. He is an enigma and she finds herself drawn to him as much as she tries to keep her distance he just always appears and her body is a traitor to her and has a mind of its own when she is near him.

I loved Isaac and he is the perfect guy for my stories, but Isabelle was annoying as crap!! She cries over EVERYTHING!! He hates it and I hated it just as much. I was like, "She is an FBI agent....get over your crap."Isabelle, who is new to town, is meeting a friend of her Uncle’s that she will be staying with until she gets on her feet and starts her new job as FBI field agent. Regina, the friend of her uncle, is a fellow police officer who supplies her with a file of the person Isabelle was brought to Ravenshoe to investigate whom lo and behold happens to be Isaac Holt, the man that helped her out on the plane. He is being investigated for potential mob connections and all that that implies. This series had romance, (lots of) sex, suspense, mystery and misdirection to lead us, the reader, to think one thing is going to happen when perhaps something else is going to take place. The twists in this book were just amazing – I didn’t know what was going to happen and to be honest I didn’t want to guess either. I was totally wrapped up in their story! Whilst I love standalone books usually because I want a conclusion fast but I also love a series and this is without doubt going to be an amazing series! I can’t wait to see where their story goes. Isaac and Izzy are still our main characters that we are following, but we see a lot of the same supporting people too, like Isaacs right hand man, Hugo, amongst others. Just when Isaac thought he and Izzy were in the clear for the most part and able to focus on a relationship things blow up. Izzy is arrested and being framed for murder. “I knew something wasn’t right when the heaviness that has been plaguing my chest the past week amplified. But I never expected it to be something as mammoth as this. The beautiful, kind-hearted, never says a bad word about anyone, Isabelle has been arrested for murder. You think I would have recognized the signs. The protectiveness she displayed earlier today when I said I didn’t need her to protect me. Her bold statement about not being able to breathe without me in her life. The fact that she allowed her hands to become stained to help my family. They were all signs I should have been watching for. Isabelle’s possessiveness of me is just as paramount as my protectiveness of her. I would do anything in my power to protect her, anything at all. Obviously, Isabelle, fells the same way about me.”
