It will give you one candle’s worth of friendly, warm, and inviting light for nine hours. That’s a great thing. UCO stands for Utility, Comfort, and Originality. Founded in Redmond, WA, in 1971, UCO bring 40 years of innovation and manufacturing expertise to the outdoor industry. I don’t want to get into an argument about whether you feel it is safe or not to use one of these candle lanterns inside a tent, I just want to report our experience and findings when using it. After lighting the candle and waiting ten minutes, the in-tent temperature remained at 45°. In other words, there was no increase in temperature from the candle.
