In Splatoon 3, DJ Octavio appears again, wearing a hard hat with a camera strapped on the front and a pair of safety goggles. He appears in a modified Octobot King (now dubbed Octobot King L3.Gs). There is a species of octopus called the Giant Pacific octopus, known to live to around 5 years compared to a squid's 1 to 2 year life span. This life span difference could explain why DJ Octavio looks significantly younger than Cap'n Cuttlefish, despite them being around the same age.
