About this deal

In Djibouti City, French DGSE intelligence officer Pascal Arch-Blanchette notices Russian Spetsnaz activity in the country. His investigation is ignored by the French government, but he tips off his son, Captain Apollo Arch-Blanchette of the 13th Parachute Dragoon special reconnaissance regiment, who discovers Russian satellite phone signals at mountain peaks in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Apollo's platoon recons the sights and repels Spetsnaz teams under Colonel Borbikov, but do not realize that Borbikov's men are broadcasting false all-clear radar signals to NATO's airborne early warning and control stations. From construction and architecture to telecommunications and machinery, these metalscontribute to both the development of our society and the betterment of our lives. Copper is unique in that it is one of the few metals that can be used directly in its natural state. It's a soft metal known for its electrical and thermal conductivity, formability, and resistance to corrosion. Today it is most commonly found in electrical materials, roofing, plumbing, and industrial machinery.

Get ready for World War III, because bestselling author Mark Greaney has teamed up with Lt. Col. Hunter Ripley Rawlings IV. USMC to create an absolutely incredible military thriller, Red Metal, which looks at how a potential invasion from Russia would unfold. If Greaney and Rawlings weren't sitting at the elbow of the officers in charge of America’s Pacific Fleet, they should be--that's how consuming the facts are. It takes a while to determine who the main character(s) is/are, if there is even one or two. I become so vested in all of the characters, they could all be the protagonist. I must confess, I've read all of Greaney's Gray Man novels, always know that Gray Man is the operator no matter what is happening in the story or where in the world I am. This is different. When copper is combined with tin and aluminum, silicon, phosphorous, and manganese, bronze alloys are created. Just like brass, the varying amounts of alloying elements added to the copper base will determine the overall properties and characteristics of the bronze. Bronze offers several benefits, including enhanced hardness and corrosion resistance. The color of the flame can be affected by various factors, such as the presence of other elements or compounds in the flame, the temperature of the flame, and the lighting conditions. What metals burn red?Lieutenant Colonel Tom Grant (U.S. Army): tank logistics and maintenance officer; interim commander, 37th Armor Regiment, deployed to Grafenwöhr, Germany For centuries copper has been of the most integral developmental tools on which societies are based. As the base metal for brass and bronze, copper is one of the few alloys that can be used in its natural state. Within the red metal manufacturing process, copper is mixed with other alloying elements to create various brass and bronze alloys. Once copper has been refined, it is cast into ingots, cakes, billets, or rods depending on its final application or can be used to produce a copper alloy (most commonly, brass or bronze).

They also talked about their favorite character in the book. And while there are many amazing, strong, courageous men and women, I have to go with Mark‘s choice of Paulina. A 20-year-old Polish bad ass who completely transformed during her various roles. After, the main characters, the authors created several minor characters to illustrate the land, sea, air, cyber and space war plot lines. For example the, US Army armour colonel, the female US Army helo pilot, the female US Navy submarine captain, the French Special Forces captain, the Russian fighter pilot, the German tank gunner, etc.. The female characters were generally good. They suffered for their gender no more than their comrades-in-arms. I thought the authors had a chance at very good female character in the Polish militia leader. However, they missed their mark. I noted there were no Russian female characters of note. This book was co-authored. Mark Greaney is an American novelist. He is the author of about twenty books in the political thriller and espionage genres, primarily in series. H. Ripley Rawlings IV is a serving officer in the US Marine Corps. This is the first book in Greaney and Rawlings’ unnamed ( Red Metal?) military fiction/political thrillers series. This is the first book I've read by either author. The intensity of the color depends on how much oxide layer forms which is determined by factors such as temperature and humidity. Definitely a powerful combination of talent, brain power, and detail came together for an incredible read. Awesome read you will not want to miss! It’s worth noting that the color of the flame produced by a burning metal is not always a reliable indicator of the metal’s identity. Like aluminum, copper is recyclable without any loss of quality, both from its raw state and from manufactured products. In fact, an estimated 80% of all copper ever mined is still in use today! By now, you should have a solid idea of what red metals are and how they are made, but here comes the big question: why do we continue to use them? I was reading some additional information regarding how these two authors met and how the idea for the story came together. The incredible knowledge of these two men became evident in several conversations they had together and the project seemed to come together easily. Deoxidized Copper: as the name suggests, the oxygen in this type of copper is removed. This gives itthe ability to be brazed or welded without fear of embrittlement. Deoxidized copper is generally found in building construction, used in central heating systems, tubes for gas and water supply, and sheeting for roofs. When weathered, these coppers form what is known as patina (green or brown film produced by prolonged weathering) and are often admired for their aesthetic effects.

All red metals are initially derived from copper, sharing similarities such as excellent thermal and electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, but each offers distinct advantages. I don’t usually read war thrillers, but... ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I thought this would be a great book to share with my dad, so we can discuss it. ♥️ Development, PodBean. Taiwan resumes their presidential election and the Kuomintang win again despite the objections of the Chinese government. The People's Liberation Army then muster for naval invasion of Taiwan. The novel ends as Sea Dragons prepare to infiltrate the country once again. Some metals, such as magnesium and titanium, have a high ignition temperature and will burn with a bright, white flame when they are ignited. Other metals, such as aluminum, will burn with a pale, white flame. As one of the first metals to be discovered by our ancestors, copper has been used by humans for over 10,000 years. But over time, the way we use, process, and alloy copper has significantly changed. Three years ago, the Russian Ground Forces are forced to relinquish control of a rare-earth mine in Mrima Hill near Mombasa, Kenya. Bitter about the retreat, Spetsnaz officer Yuri Borbikov formulates Operation Red Metal, an extensive military strike across Europe as a large diversion to retake the mine.
