If you’ve attempted a DIY eyebrow tint and aren’t a fan or merely want to lighten your brows, here’s a natural recipe intended to lighten those hairs. This is meant to be an alternative to bleach, so it won’t give you perfectly white eyebrows but can bring you down several shades lighter. This recipe uses a combination of sunlight and lemon juice to result in lighter eyebrows.

Once upon a time, natural hair dye limited you to a semi-permanent tint, such as henna (which is still a great semi-permanent natural dye to play with). With a cotton ball, pad, or clean cloth, disinfect the eyebrow area with rubbing alcohol. Be careful not to get too close to the eyes. If there’s no reaction within a few hours, it likely means that you should be completely safe to apply the tint to your brows. However, if the test area becomes red, itchy or irritated, it indicates that you might be allergic to one of its ingredients or are especially sensitive to that particular formula – in which case you shouldn’t use the product. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap, and let it sit for about 12 hours. (You may need to add more water after the 12 hours so that it can be applied to your hair.)
