We've converted this review to Test Bench 1.2. This update simplifies our Weight test and expands on our CPI test from Test Bench 1.1, resulting in changes to test results in both sections. For more details, you can see our complete changelog here.

Change the Report Rate, if you prefer something other than the default of 1000 reports/second (1ms response time). The Report Rate controls how often your mouse updates its position to the computer. Following the update to Test Bench 1.2, some of our test results have changed within both the Weight and CPI sections. We've added or modified some of the text in this article to clarify these changes. The Logitech G502 is a gaming mouse that is designed to offer precision and customization. It features 11 programmable buttons, a customizable weight system, and a high-precision sensor with adjustable DPI levels. The G502 is available in three different versions: the G502 Lightspeed, the G502 HERO, and the G502 X PLUS. Logitech G502 Series Comparisons

Enable per profile pointer settings - Select this option to enable each profile to have different pointer behavior (see answer 360023420373 for help). Acceleration (Enhance Pointer Precision) - Select this option to use Window's "Enhance Pointer Precision" acceleration. Note: The exact steps may vary slightly depending on the version of the Logitech Gaming Software that you are using. Additionally, some versions of the G502 may have additional DPI settings or customization options that are not described here. Refer to the user manual for your specific G502 model for more detailed instructions. The Logitech G502 Hero features the 1,000Hz polling rate and 1ms response time as expected from a proper gaming mouse, and we hardly notice any shortcomings in this department. But, the Hero sensor is what helps the mouse shine. They have the same design and build quality, they only differ when it comes to their color pattern. The Logitech G502 Hero (left) and the Logitech G502 SE (right) have the same design, except for their color patterns. We've added a small disclaimer to the Compatible Software Option section which highlights some of the most commonly reported issues users online have encountered with Logitech's G HUB companion software. The best DPI settings for gaming with the Logitech G502 will depend on the individual user and the type of games they play. Some players may prefer a higher DPI setting for fast-paced games, while others may prefer a lower DPI setting for more precise movements in strategy games. It is recommended to experiment with different DPI settings to find the one that feels most comfortable and allows for the best performance. We have collected the best DPI options for various popular games. Popular Games The Logitech G502 is bigger and heavier than I'd recommend to most gamers, and I think Logitech and other mouse companies have surpassed its design in the years since it first released. But it remains a great gaming mouse with features few competitors offer, and with a new sensor that will keep the G502 competitive with anything released in the next five years. It's still the best choice for a large, heavy gaming mouse around.

Some versions of the Logitech G502 have RGB lighting, while others do not. The G502 Lightspeed and G502 HERO versions of the mouse have customizable RGB lighting that can be controlled and configured using the Logitech Gaming Software. The G502 X PLUS does not have RGB lighting. Logitech G502 CompatibilityIsle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you.
