About this deal

We have reviewed combi drills from Makita, Bosch, DeWalt and many more. We wouldn’t say that the Bosch PSB 1800 is the best drill we have ever reviewed. The battery-powered well-designed hammer drill is very much convenient to use. It comes with two lithium-ion batteries with a fast charger. These clever Power for All batteries can push the business end of the drill to a maximum drilling speed of 1,350 rpm. It’s not class-leading but it’s fast enough for most jobs. In hammer mode, you get a maximum of 20,250 bpm, which is the slowest of all the combi drills I’ve tested and reviewed. The 38 Newton metres of torque it puts out isn’t beating any of the bigger name brands on the list either. The Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 runs on a Bosch 18v PowerForAll lithium-ion battery, meaning it shares battery compatibility not only with other Bosch 18v Home & Garden (Green) cordless tools, but also with other tools from other manufacturers who have recently become part of the Power For All 18v Alliance, including Gardena, Wagner and Rapid. The PSB 1800 is composed with the features of screwdriver and drilling. The double screwdriver bits allow you both screwing and unscrewing without any hassle.

Bosch PSB 1800 is comparably a lightweight drill, weighing around 1.3kg. Thus it is convenient to use even in a small space. The multiple torque settings enable you to control the turning power of the drill driver. The overall feeling I got from this cordless drill is that it’s all a bit underwhelming. The design is unremarkable, and the grip isn’t the best. There are a couple of little features like the direction indicator that look good but don’t add to the performance. The drill isn’t very responsive, and the uninspiring drilling speed makes for slow work. As always with Bosch the warranty that comes with the product is 2 years which once activated online becomes 3 years, this really does finish the product off nicely. Bosch PSB 1800 Accessory Set One of the big power tool brands, especially in the UK, Bosch have a decent slice of the market with their two broad levels of equipment. Their “blue” professional tools and “green” DIY tools vary massively in their capabilities as well as cost. I think it’s fair to say that the PSB 1800 fits squarely in the green DIY camp. The box also contains double screwdriver bits with a plastic case. The double screwdriver bits can be used in both screwing and unscrewing operation. One of the benefits of this drill is its integrated LED light. The light provides the optimum illumination while working even in dark areas.

It can drill up to a maximum torque of 38N. Its speed starts at 400 revolution/minute and can reach up to 1350 revolution/minute. Seems identical just tiniest bit lighter smaller with the exact same feel as the original. So over all more compact with the positives of being that slightly more lightweight portable drill for all round work and home purpose. And I believe it will compare identical in use though the specification for example 38 NM of torque to it's predecessor of 48 NM Torque with extremely small difference in revolution speed of 400-1350 and previously was 400-1650 min-1 please see pictures.

Bosch Green PSB 1800 LI-2 18v Cordless Two-Speed Combi Hammer Drill Body Only In Carry Case

It helps both screw and unscrew operation effortlessly. Being lightweight is one of the advantageous features which makes the drill more handy. Integrated light makes the work easier with its optimum illumination. The PSB 1800 is provided with additional double screwdriver bits. I would highly recommend it for the extremely good price compared to retail stores. No faults with the last one for over 9 years so you can expect this to be the exact same reliable all round purpose go to drill. 10/10 Seems identical just tiniest bit lighter smaller with the exact same feel as the original. This drill still proves to be one of Bosch’s best entry level combi drills, but Bosch has also released the Universal Impact Driver, which on first glance sounds like an impact driver. In fact it is more of a hammer drill but with impact driver features on the side. If you are after a dedicated impact driver there are certainly better offerings, but this might set to be a likely replacement for the Bosch PSB 1800 a few years down the road. The drill machine has multiple torque settings for each and every situation. It helps to manage the turning power of the drill driver.

The combi Bosch 1800 drill is featured with lithium-ion battery technology. The drilling machine can drive hard to harder objects up to 10mm in diameter seamlessly. It also provides another advantage of in-built LED lights. This LED helps to lighten up the surface you are working on.The fast charger only takes 1 hour to make a full charge. You can interchange the batteries for a longer operation. The Syneon Chip manages the battery power and provides the power you need.
