Prospan Cough Syrup is used for Cough, Bronchitis, Sore or watering eyes and other conditions. Prospan Cough Syrup 100ml thins out the mucus in the lungs to relieve chesty, wet coughs. It also helps improve breathing and reduces coughing episodes. Alcohol-, sugar- and colourant-free. if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredient, ivy leaf or to any of the excipients of Prospan® Cough Syrup is a light brown, slightly cloudy syrup. It contains a plant extract as the active ingredient and its colour and taste can therefore occasionally vary. This, however, does not affect the quality of the preparation.It turns outmost of these generic drugs are cheapest in Poland, while the offer in the UK is cheap, but often the ingredients of themedication is not as concentrated as in the other states.

One open-label RCT compared an ivy/thyme preparation to standard care, defined as warm alkaline mineral water, an antipyretic (paracetamol), decongestant drops, and a local antibiotic (fusafungin) in 54 children for 7–10 days [ 18]. Outcomes included the proportion of patients with wet cough and congestion, number of daily coughing fits, fever, and laboratory markers of inflammation.
