Description

There are two songs about him: Go Poopypants! and Hallelujah! (from Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie). In the books, he is insane, absent-minded, crazy, cool, calm, zen, forgetful, streetwise, kooky, and smart all at the same time. In the movie, he is dangerous, murderous, rude, grumpy, psychopathic, grouchy, selfish, crazy, insane, mischevious, and ruthless. In the color hardcover version of this book, there are five bonus fun facts at the end and an introduction to an upcoming comic created by George and Harold.

So I hope that the next book has a bit better plot/less bullying, I can't wait to see what villain we get next time! So yeah, instead of cheering for the good guys to win.... I was rooting for the professor to get his revenge. Yep, I was rooting for the baddie. Though, then again, he wasn't necessarily evil, he just snapped. I did like his revenge plan, and how (hilariously) people were unhappy. See, you don't like it to be bullied with your name, then don't do it to others.

Fourth-graders George Beard and Harold Hutchins have created their own comic superhero named Captain Underpants. They begin this book by drawing a comic for readers that recaps how they developed the character. They also show how they accidentally brought it to life when they hypnotized their principal. Now whenever someone snaps his or her fingers, Mr. Krupp turns into Captain Underpants and fights crime wearing only his briefs and a curtain for a cape. This one was fun and is heavily featured in the movie. The animators did a great job bringing the artwork to life. And if you've heard kids watch or read this, you know they think "Poopypants" is truly the funniest name ever. If you've done or watched any improv type shows with fake names, you might know adults often find it funny too. At the southwest of Greenland, a scientist from the fictional country of New Swissland (with a foreign culture where everyone has a silly name) named Professor Pippy P. Poopypants goes to the United States to demonstrate how his Shrinky-Pig 2000 and Goosy-Grow 4000 can help the world by reducing garbage and increasing food, but everyone laughs at Poopypants' silly name rather than taking him seriously, which is a constant annoyance to him. CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS AND THE PERILOUS PLOT OF PROFESSOR

Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants is the fourth book in the Captain Underpants series written by Dav Pilkey. It is the first book where Captain Underpants fully uses his superpowers. The Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies from Outer Space (and the Subsequent Assault of the Equally Evil Lunchroom Zombie Nerds) (1999) He bears similarities to Superman's archenemy, Lex Luthor. Both of them are intelligent scientists that, though without superpowers, are typically a threat to their foes. When Professor Poopypants is extolling the kindness and innocence of children, a boy can be seen, ironically, pouring salt into his tea.Poor Professor Pippy Pee-Pee Poopypants can’t catch a break as a new elementary school teacher because of his unusual name. Harold, George and the rest of the kids simply cannot stop laughing at him—so he devises a plan! But, in creating this master scheme he becomes the bad guy, and as my Mom would say, “The baddies NEVER win.” Therefore, Captain Underpants must come to the town’s rescue! In college, Dav met a teacher who encouraged him to write and illustrate for kids. He took her advice and created his first book, World War Won, which won a national competition in 1986. Dav made many other books before being awarded the California Young Reader Medal for Dog Breath (1994) and the Caldecott Honor for The Paperboy (1996). Tippy Tinkletrousers (formerly known as Professor Pippy Poopypants) was a genius and inventive scientist from New Swissland. He is the main antagonist of the Captain Underpants franchise.
