Alan Grant and Iain Malcolm into the mix for a shot of old-school in the final entry in the Jurassic World trilogy. Jurassic World Dominion had its big screen debut on the 10th June 2022, and it has now been confirmed for a UK Blu-ray, DVD and 4K release date of Monday the 26th September 2022. The two positives to take from the film are that there are a lot of new dinosaurs that sometimes look cool, and you also get to see Alan and Ellie getting together. beyond their presence on the screen, and the familiar faces from the World films seem to be only going through the motions. Within minutes of losing Maisie, they manage to join forces with the CIA (the explanation being that most of the ex-employees from Jurassic World have joined the security agencies) on a secret mission to infiltrate illegal dino-smuggling before Grady is chased by weaponised velociraptors through the streets of Malta.

From Jurassic World architect and director Colin Trevorrow, Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. While Battle at Big Rock was briefly mentioned in Dominion, it’s not an integral part of the main events but a cool little side story to show how the dinosaur repopulation of the Earth is causing problems for the humans who already live on it.

It’s like Colin Trevorrow made a pitch video in an effort to land a big James Bond or Marvel gig instead of a continuation of the Steven Spielberg magic of yore. Claire is the former manager of Jurassic World and founded the Dinosaur Protection Group dedicated to saving dinosaurs. The latest installment roars into home theaters with the same monstrous, reference-quality DTS:X soundtrack enjoyed on the 4K Ultra HD edition.

In ‘Jurassic Park’ Dodgson is a slimy opportunist who abets Dennis Nedry to steal dinosaur embryos, the attempt resulting in a major power-outage across the island; however, now Dodgson is the CEO of conglomerate ‘BioSyn’ (‘sin’ is the unsubtle clue) mimicking the roles of John Hammond, Peter Ludlow, Simon Masrani and Eli Mills before him. Even a cluttered tent when we first meet Alan Grant is a great example of what this conversion offered up with a tight cluttered location filled with objects all experiencing some measure of depth. It has so much polish to key scenes that the more restricted, on-set scenes 'gathered around a cave' sequences take on an almost straight-to-video feel by comparison, feeling cheap and amateurish, no matter how good they look in 4K, they still look like B-roll footage.
