Graham's was one of the first Port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal’s Douro Valley in 1890 and is now at the cutting edge of innovation in winemaking techniques. Today, five Symington cousins share responsibility for every aspect of the company and personally make the Graham’s wines. This is a beautifully deep, rich tawny style, with almond and hazelnut aromas combined with notes of honey and figs.Aged for an average of 10 years in seasoned oak casks, this wine represents a wonderful expression of tawny port – the perfect pairing for sweet pastries such as apple pie with cinnamon. Tawny Port This wood-matured tawny port, produced using Time-honoured craftsmanship and generations of experience, was mellowed in seasoned oak casks at our stone-walled lodge, built on the estuary of the Douro river in 1890. The grapes that are used to make Port must be grown in the mountainous Upper Douro region of Northern Portugal, the world's first officially demarcated wine region in 1756. It has rich mature fruit flavours, ON THE PALATE, rich mature fruit flavours, beautifully mellowed with a luscious long finished.
