About this deal

He would stand for nothing but perversion; utter disgust of a society that couldn't bear people like him.

Having recently codified my own approach to the arts (well, certainly literature) as that of a Generalist/Surveyor, I can't take an us/them, good/bad argument about literature *so* seriously. Titles are as follows "The Duchess of Padua", "Lady Windermere's Fan", "Miscellanies", "The Picture of Dorian Gray", "Reviews", "Salome A Florentine Tragedy, and Vera". I believe that you are really a very good husband, but that you are thoroughly ashamed of your own virtues. On May 29, 1884, Oscar married Constance Lloyd (died 1898), daughter of wealthy Queen’s Counsel Horace Lloyd.Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde was an Irish playwright, poet, and author of numerous short stories, and one novel. One can survive everything, nowadays, except death, and live down everything except a good reputation.

Indeed, the probabilities are that the more insincere the man is, the more purely intellectual will the idea be, as in that case it will not be coloured by either his wants, his desires, or his prejudices. Known for his biting wit, he became one of the most successful playwrights of the late Victorian era in London, and one of the greatest celebrities of his day. Though obviously Victorian with regards to characters and setting, but the influence of French Symbolism is very easy to see.He produced a string of extremely popular comedies including ‘A Woman of No Importance’ (1893), ‘An Ideal Husband’ (1895), and ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ (1895). Now and then, however, he is horribly thoughtless, and seems to take a real delight in giving me pain.

So, for example, when I read this essay I find it fascinating: Wilde is witty (duh), charming, intelligent and erudite and his argument makes sense - until I remember that some realist novels have, in my life, packed just as much impact as the imaginative ones. The Uncensored Picture of Dorian Gray was published by the Belknap Press of Harvard University Press in 2012. Illustrated by Aubrey Beardsley, Walter Crane, Jacomb Hood, Henry Keen,Charles Robinson (illustrator). Lord Henry stroked his pointed brown beard and tapped the toe of his patent-leather boot with a tasselled ebony cane. She either explains them entirely away, or tells one everything about them except what one wants to know. Holland said Wilde did sketch out the play's scenario in 1894, but "never wrote a word" of it, and that "it is dishonest to foist this on the public.
