Fall Heritage Festival

Nov. 6/SAN ANTONIO – 6 to 9 p.m. on the approximately four acres grounds of La Villita National Historic District, bounded by the San Antonio River and Alamo, Nueva and Presa Streets. Food specialties will include Mr. Chicken; Maria’s Tortillas; Bongo K Bobs; German Sausage and much, much more. Drink booths will include imported and domestic beers; wine Margaritas; wine; cold drinks and water. Guests are invited to bring non-perishable food to donate to the San Antonio Food Bank at the three entrance gates. >MORE

Pumpkin Patch Hayride/Photography

Thru Oct. 31/CAT SPRING – At the BlissWood Bed and Breakfast Ranch. Enjoy a hayride from the barn to the Enchanted Lake, then continue on to the pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkin. An award-winning photographer, Skeeter Hagler, will be on hand for beautiful fall photos among the boldest colors of the season. Bring your carving kits and participate in their “Creative Pumpkin Carving Contest” to be Oct. 31. An independent judge will choose the winner from the photos. >MORE
