Zoo Goes Boo!

Oct. 16-18, 23-25/GRAND RAPIDS – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the John Ball Zoo. will again be transformed into the ultimate Halloween destination with decorations, costumes, candy, and, of course, our amazing animals. Guests are highly encouraged to get in on the Halloween fun and wear costumes. Get your timed-tickets here:  https://www.jbzoo.org/event/zoogoesboo This year’s Zoo Goes Boo will be a little different in order to comply with the recent Halloween guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To keep everyone safe, there will be a treat trail lined with decorated booths that are socially distanced from one another. This will allow for a one-way treat trail and fewer groups of guests congregating. The treat booths will also have plexiglass between guests and staff, along with enhanced sanitization for hands and surfaces.

Cooking Class

Oct. 17/ FRANKENMUTH – 9-11 a.m. at Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth. This is a class specifically designed for the younger inspiring cooks to learn techniques from Zehnder’s Chef, Diamantae Evans. Preparing a delicious lunch for ages 13-17. You will be creating from start to finish homemade chicken tender wraps with fresh cut French fries and homemade ranch dressing. You will make enough to try at class and then some to take home to share with your family. In addition, you will make banana foster with vanilla bean ice cream. The cost is $65 per person. >MORE

Oct. 22-24/BATTLE CREEK – 7-10 p.m. at the Humane Society of South Central Michigan. Enjoy a stroll through the Bark Park which you will never forget. The Trail of Terror is not for children under 13 or the faint of heart. Tickets are $10 and are available in advance at the shelter during open business hours (purchase in advance and skip the ticket line!), or at the start of the event. >MORE
