 Thru April 23/WINTER HARBOR – Winter Bird watching on Schoodic Peninsula 8:45 a.m. to noon. Join Bird Ecology Director Seth Benz for any or all of these 3 hour field trips that explore the nooks and crannies of Schoodic Peninsula in search of wintering birds. Feb. 16/ RANGELEY – Bald Mountain Camps, Mooselookmeguntic Lake, will host the Annual World Record Snowmobile Ride to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Riders from near and far will try to break the World Record for number of riders. Help Rangeley beat the World Record largest Snowmobile Ride with this great event that benefits Cystic Fibrosis. Riders line up by noon and return to Bald Mountain Camps after the ride for music and food. Many fun activities are surrounding this event including a live auction, fireworks, and more. $10 per person for rider’s decal and donation. >MORE

Taste Chocolate

Feb. 17/GREENVILLE – 1-4 p.m. A Moosehead Lake winter favorite and a tantalizingly delicious event! Choose chocolate samples from more than 40 delectable delights. Your favorites could include petite fours, chocolate lasagna, chocolate bacon, Malibu rum balls, King Chocolates fountain… the list goes on! While you’re there bid on trips, Moosehead goodies and fuel! Chocolate Lovers Luncheon: $30 11:30-12:30 at the Bartley Family Event Center Enjoy chocolate in an unusual way. We always think of Chocolate as being sweet, come see how chocolate can affect the flavor profile of savory foods before heading over to grab box of chocolates. Includes fast pass entrance to the chocolate festival and 10 chocolates. Tickets for lunch are very limited.

Cooking Class

Feb. 23/CAMDEN – 1-3 p.m. If you can’t join Chef Michael in Italy for one of his Culinary Adventures, then come to Camden and experience some of his favorite Tuscan dishes. The fun will include wine, and then lots of fabulous food. We’ll begin with a hearty Tuscan Onion Soup with a Pecorino Crust followed by handmade Pici Pasta with a Pork Ragu. Next, we’ll stuff Chicken with Prosciutto, Fontina Cheese and Sage and finish things off with an Almond-Ricotta. Cost is $45 per person. For more information, call 207-236-4259.
