This book is great for younger readers, and I know that's the target audience but seeing as I loved the first one and enjoyed the second, I felt disappointed by this third book. Besonders erwähnenswert sind über 100 wunderschöne, supersüße und detaillierte Illustrationen von Shane Devries. Diese haben mich bereits in den beiden Vorgängern sehr begeistert und tun es auch weiterhin.

There was also a LOT of shameless self-promotion and references to Fletcher’s other books in here, which I can understand, but did put me off a little bit. Not all children will have the chance to read his other books so wouldn’t understand the references, plus it just gets a little bit annoying when you have ‘there’s a book about that too…’ several times in a story! Sorry not sorry!Santa looks in a book to find out more information about the dinosaur, but there isn’t anything there. Could you write a non-fiction report about the Christmasaurus to help Santa?
