Dec. 13-16/BIRMINGHAM – 7:30 p.m. at the UAB’s Alys Stephens Center (2:30 p.m. Sunday) Grammy Nominee TY HERNDON will star in this NOT TO BE MISSED Christmas Show, “A Not So Silent Night.” Birmingham’s own National Story Teller and musician – Norton Dill is set to share the stage with Mr. Herndon. Norton, known for his bluegrass group The Dill Pickers, will bring his storytelling wit and talents to the stage for an evening you will not soon forget! Chloë Agnew

Dec. 14/OXFORD – A Celtic Christmas with the Atlanta Pops & Chloë, 7:30 p.m. at Oxford Performing Arts Center. Chloë Agnew is a singer, songwriter and actress from Dublin, Ireland. Agnew gained fame for her integral part as one of the original (and youngest) members of the internationally acclaimed music group Celtic Woman from the age of 14. Born to Irish entertainer Adéle “Twink” King and Irish oboist David Agnew, Chloë was practically born on the stage and made her first television appearance at just four weeks old. Shortly after the success of her second album Walking in the Air, Chloë was approached to become part of a new PBS production, “Celtic Woman”. Ten years later, Chloë held the dual title of being both one of the original members and the youngest performer of the group. At the age of 24, she was already a musical veteran and after an illustrious career with the famous ensemble; she embarked on a solo career that has seen her perform all over the world. The Elves

Thru Dec.19/UNION SPRING – 9-2 at the Dream Field Farms. Santa’s Elves have dropped by the farm to check on all the boys and girls! They are up to all kinds of fun – wrapping presents, making ornaments and reindeer food, baking cookies and sharing about the wonders of the north pole. The big guy himself will be on hand for great Santa photo’s! Who knew Santa could drive a tractor? Each Saturday features a full breakfast buffet along with lots of zany fun! By reservation only. School students are invited during the week – no breakfast but plenty of fun!Their zany antics will amuse all. Watch out, the big guy himself will be dropping in also. >MORE
