After exploring informant correspondence (using Pearson correlation) and the discrepancy between raters, we report inter-class correlation coefficients, to assess inter-rater reliability, and Cohen’s kappa, to assess agreement regarding possible ADHD caseness. Nine items tap inattention (e.g. give close attention to detail and avoid making mistakes) and nine items tap hyperactivity/impulsivity (e.g. awaits turn: stands in line and take turns). Respondents were asked to compare their child’s behaviour to those of their peers using a 7 point Likert scale (1: Far Below Average - 7: Far Above Average) [ 44]. The maximum score on each SWAN subscale is 63 with lower scores reflecting more inattention/hyperactivity.
