May 21/VALLEY JUNCTION ARTS FESTIVAL – 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Two annual art festivals have been combined and refocused into one Fine Art Show! We have limited the amount of artists and discipline that are accepted into the show.  Its primary focus is the juried exhibition of fine arts and crafts, giving the public the opportunity to meet, interact with and purchase original work by artists. Musical entertainment will be part of the festivities as well.  Children’s art activities and artists’ demonstrations will take place throughout the day.  Refreshments will be available from several food vendors on the street and many Valley Junction restaurants and retailers will be open as well.

May 25/CHILE FEST – 6:30 – 9 p.m. at Des Moines Social Club’s Culinary Loft. Join Malo’s Executive Chef Matt Howard for Chile Fest, a festive buffet-style dinner event with a kick!
