Using his favorite work tool, the ballpoint pen, he offers a subtle and colorful design, a mix between shimmering plants and a sketch of a desert island. L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Summer Edition by Kevin Lucbert by Issey Miyake is a woody fragrance for men. Issey Miyake launched L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Summer Eau de Toilette in 2018 as an aromatic fruity fragrance for men.

The scent itself is soooo beautiful, perfect for a hot summer day that you don't want to go heavy on perfume but still different than all the other guys around you cause yeah, it has citrusy and water-y notes in it but, the pine and cypress with their resinous green tones prevail. To illustrate these fragrant emotions, Kevin Lucbert, a young French artist, has imagined a brand new typeface for L'Eau d'Issey which is drawn according to an imaginary map symbolizing these fragrant stopovers. So many of their greatest fragrances are easily overlooked or lost in an admittedly confusing constellation of similarly named and similar-looking objects. It opens strong yet fresh- pleasantly citrusy, then come the heart notes- a beautiful complex eucalyptus and pretty quickly we move to the base, the dry down, which is amazing cause it's green and forest- y yet amazingly Mediterranean.

Inspired by their memories of summer, three perfumers invite us on a journey through a new interpretation of Eau d'Issey in a limited-edition eau de toilette for women. The green is there throughout, but predominantly in the opening, with it tapering off in the dry down for what smells like 90% original L'eau D'Issey. This new version takes the proverbial cake in an awkward and confusing name: L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme (hundreds of them by now) Summer Edition (dozens of them) by Kevin Lucbert. A juice infused with the bright light of bergamot essence, the sensual warmth of orange blossom and frangipani, without forgetting an aquatic accord, an absolute signature of the Miyake house, which brings an undulating fluidity to the bouquet. The main difference is the opening as I said L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme by Kevin Lucbert does not have any citruses in the opening compared to the other two I mentioned.

A resinous, aromatic, and woody fragrance, where Mediterranean citrus meets the salty freshness of the Atlantic.L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Summer Edition by Kevin Lucbert was created by Dora Baghriche, Marie Salamagne and Daphné Bugey. L'eau D'Issey Pour Homme has more satellites orbiting around it than earth, and, according to the house's critics, some of it might be "space junk. I was disappointed initially, not least because the inferior quality of the packaging was too obvious not to think that they must have cut corners on the juice as well. Grab one while it's still on the market, it deserves at least to be in your collection for it's uniqueness.

It takes about 15 minutes for the citruses to start to kick in, but only slightly in the first half hour. Nowadays, just like in music, the more bombastic and loud perfumes seem to have a larger following but this is a reminder that one can be sophisticated and enchanting without having to shout it from the rooftops. I love both the Calabrian bergamot and neroli, but I couldn’t tell them apart until the second wear when I did smell neroli a tiny bit. I can easily say this is my favourite Issey Miyake and already one of my favourite freshie I've ever tried.Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer. The base is woodier, I can smell the pine/cypress elements, but the basil from the mid and the aquatic notes/ bergamot from the opening are still there. I very soon get the frangipani which is elevating and gives the fragrance a sort of "very posh sunscreen" vibe. The Cypress is perfectly mixed with the Balsam Fir to give the scent a airy, crisp, soft woody veil.
