Though by no means a hugely skilled birder, I thought that this book might be a little too basic for me on reading the introduction, but there's actually a raft of interesting information that I wasn't aware of. The synopsis says: "Hamza’s Wild World is packed with incredible facts, Hamza’s Top Tens, warm, funny stories, and big topic features about our planet and everything that lives on it, underneath the sea and in the sky. It's as interesting to read about his extraordinary life as it is to read about the secrets of the bird world!Packed with fantastic facts and figures, lists and infographics, illustrated with pictures and photos and all wrapped up in Hamza's own stories of his adventures in nature, this really will teach you everything there is to know about the planet. I was fascinated to read that the colour of the eyes of owls can tell you what time of day they hunt. Hamza is so amazingly observant about these quirky little creatures we see all around us, their ingenious strategies in finding food, mating, or avoiding predation. I just read it from cover to cover and I’m sure I’ll continue to dip in and out of it in the future. I hope to encourage more birding enthusiasts to share the love I have for these creatures and the planet we share with them.
