About this deal

They could not take the souls from the world but they could at least protect them from the warp and the Warpsmith. Also found in the book is a new Theatre of War – Goliath Down, which offers a warband of plucky Aeldari underdogs all the cunning Ruses they’ll need to evade, sabotage, and destroy the enemy’s biggest threats… such as D’vok’s frenzied Forgefiend. We mainly cover Warhammer 40k, Fantasy, Age of Sigmar, Warmachine, Hordes, X-Wing, Infinity, Horus Heresy, and Star Wars Armada.

It’s easy enough to pose a figure to make it look like it’s running or jumping, but to actually capture the feeling of momentum into a model is another thing entirely.

Will it be a strong and firm release, or a limp, wet caress of an offering that leaves everyone in the room feeling very uncomfortable? Whilst this little run-down serves in the first instance to highlight the huge disparity between the number of figures included in a 40K box when compared to an AoS box, it also shows that, when compared to either franchise, 16 figures is pretty poor. With both these units, the big question is whether they go up to A3 base (fingers crossed), but as long as they do they should now be pretty strong at their jobs. There’s plenty more background provided in the book, with the setting of the Nachmund War (also the setting for the next Kill Team release) explored fairly thoroughly, as well as a good look at both the Aeldari and the Black Legion’s history and what brought them both to this particular planet at this particular point in the far future. Either way, we know new Chaos Space Marines, and most likely some rules, are on the way with Eldritch Omens, question is what else will we see for the followers of the dark gods after that?

D’vok has built his fortress on Daethe and stripped the once-verdant world bare – and Saim-Hann have vowed to win it back. Again, we get brand new models in the box for these and they capture a similar aesthetic to the Eldar character seen in Blackstone Fortress, with some really nice details and a massive upgrade over the old models! They are designed to be the narrative rope that binds the box together – providing reason as to why the two factions are in the box are out for each other’s blood. Not content with simply being stealthy, the Aeldari are also bringing Shroud Runner jetbikes with them, high-speed firing platforms from which skilled snipers can pull off wicked trickshots.
