Shelly Timson and I have expanded the Fabuland Brickheadz Village in time for the 45th anniversary of the Iconic Anthropomorphic LEGO Theme. This is not quite instructions but you can sort of reverse engineer your own with the help of this photo.The lions are posable to an extent, with flexing legs, opening mouths and the ability to nod, but the head is unable to turn from left to right, which has been a standout element in the lion dance, when I have seen it performed. This is the first time that the inverted dome of the eye socket has been seen in flame yellowish orange. The set also builds a stage for thre lions, a stand for the percussionists and 8 minifigures, including a town official, the band, 3 more characters invlved in the celebration, and the highlight: a man in a rat suit, continuing on from last year’s year of the pig.

Unfortunately, the ‘exoforce hair’ featured in the Modular green groceer set is no longer current, but the hair element used suits the role well. The build is not complicated (evidenced by the 8+ label), but there is a meditative aspect to the contruction of similar elements, which surprisingly never became boring. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging .Both sets feature an incredible amount of new prints, recoloring of pieces and a significant amount of minifigures which all combine into a large festival setting. The phone charger is a brilliant touch along with the above-bed light switches and glasses on the brown bedside table. The spiders, rats and snakes dominate this little model but it’s the room with its furniture and details that are really the stars of the show. With big eyes, pink nose and outstretched tail, this buildable rodent features posable arms, legs, ears and head.
