The whiskey featured in the first Kingsman movie is The GlenDronach, a single malt Scotch whisky from the Highlands of Scotland. The particular expression that appears in the film was personally chosen by director Matthew Vaughn and is knwn as The GlenDronach Kingsman Edition. It is a 21-year-old whisky, matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks for a rich, sweet and spicy flavor profile. This whisky has aromas of dried fruits, leather and tobacco leaf with flavors of sherry and dark chocolate, balanced by notes of roasted nutmeg and allspice. With its smooth finish, this whisky makes an excellent accompaniment to any occasion. The Location of Statesman Whiskey Production Each and every Member must be of legal drinking age in its country of residence to be allowed to use the Service. If no such law exists in a Member’s country of residence, the Member has to be over 21 years old to use the Service. He was also capable of holding his own against two Kingsmen at once for a short while before he was overpowered and killed. This was made more notable by the fact he was still recovering from his headshot and amnesia due to the alpha gel. Old Forester neat, has a nice mouthfeel and complexity to each sip. I was cautious in my first sip due to the 95 proof label and expected instant heat and pepper to assault my nose and tongue. What happened was a slightly sweet full bodies liquid, that glided across my tongue, over the roof of my mouth, drifted slowly down my throat with slight pepper and only a slight heat. A pleasant surprise and what I was hoping for from this caramel mid-colored whiskey. The aftertaste was very pleasant and the sweetness of caramel, honey, and a touch of cinnamon peppery oak. The more I sipped (and the whiskey warmed from my hand on the glass), the more I began to taste faint vanilla and honey incorporated in the final notes. The origins of Statesman are intricately connected with those of their British counterparts, the Kingsman. The agency was most likely born during the tumultuous World War I period, but probably wasn't officially established until 1919, when the war was over. Tasting Notes

This includes Old Forester Bourbon at 86 proof, Old Forester 1870 at 90 proof, Old Forester 1910 Fine Whisky at 92 proof, Old Forester Statesman at 95 proof, Old Forester Signature at 100 proof, Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond at 100 proof, and in 2020, an expanded single barrel program with a 100 proof option. That’s a lot of bourbons within a small range of proof that all share the same mashbill. So what makes Statesman stand out from the rest of them? There are light traces of ethanol along with plenty of maple syrup, rich vanilla, plenty of spice, and a hint of roasted peanut. The nose is predominantly sweet but very pleasant overall. Palate Whiskey was trained as a Statesman, and possessed great wit and strength to be regarded as one of their best agents. To date, seven Statesman agents have been named on-screen; Champagne, Whiskey, Tequila, Ginger Ale, Rum, Vodka and Cognac.

Out of all of the polarizing whiskey that has rolled out of Old Forester in the last 5+ years, there seems to be little fanfare over Statesman. Whenever a product has a movie tie-in, it’s probably a safe bet that the product is going to be subpar. Bottled at 95 proof and wearing no age statement, the only thing that Statesman seems to have going for it is that the bottle’s label is unique among the whiskey row series, which all have a somewhat bland white paper label. In fact, I do not believe that Statesman is a part of the Whiskey Row series, but it may as well be because of when it was released and the general shape of the bottle looks the same.Lasso: Whiskey carried around a whip/lasso that he could use to fend off multiple opponents: the lasso could also be activated so it became charged with electricity—strong enough to cut someone in half. He was skilled enough to catch objects in midair with the lasso, or pull objects using it. Master Marksman: Whiskey is shown to have deadly skill with his revolvers, able to easily shoot multiple moving targets with perfect accuracy. Taste: Thin and watery mouthfeel. Raw alcohol. It burns. There's also a lot of (artificial) sweetness here. A bit perfumy and green.
