S = 0 to disable comparison of commanded vs. measured output, 1 to enable comparison and pause the print if a discrepancy is detected My Voron 2.4 running Klipper had been running great for a while but the afterburner assembly was starting to show weakness. I thought it was a good time for an upgrade so I installed a new Orbiter 2.0 with filament detector on my Voron 2.4 and the problems began...... Stainless steel filament exit guide with 0.2-0.3mm clearance to drive gears for best TPU printing experience and extreme wear resistance when using abrasive filaments Flipped drive gears – filament path closer to the extruder center for a more balanced design and perfectRRF3 Pin Names: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/RepRapFirmware_3_overview#Section_Pin_names_for_Duet_2_WiFi_Ethernet Fortunately the awful noise stopped. Ergo i think my initial problem is that the over extrusion i jsut discovered was overwhelming the nozzle and jamming.

witht he Orbiter 2.0 installed i have not been able to get my rotation distance anything like close to accurate. last print had massive over extrusion with lots of noise from the extruder. Pre-assemble the extruder pieces before installing into the shroud. Use two M3x8 BHCS to install the Orbiter 2.0 extruder. It helps to have both screws in the Orbiter before putting it in place. Start the screw by the latch and then the blind screw should be easier to align. generated by RepRapFirmware Configuration Tool v3.1.4 on Tue Oct 13 2020 12:04:59 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time) One of the most expected project of 2021, the Orbiter v2.0. A high precision direct drive extruder custom manufactured by LDO Motors. This is LDO’s finest direct drive extruder system in which they have integrated all what they learned about extruders in the past years.

Sailfin and HextrudORT are very similar designs that you may prefer in certain circumstances but they are less popular and you may need to design your own mount to use them. Bondtech LGX M574 Z1 S1 P"zstop+e1stop" ; configure active-high endstops for low end on Z via pins zstop and e1stop

Sherpa Mini* is a compact and lightweight open source extruder. It’s using BMG components with a smaller NEMA 14 stepper motor. Due to its compact design and a smaller stepper it weights just 127g. Sherpa Mini uses BMG gears but due to different pinion gear on the NEMA 14 stepper has 5:1 rather than 3:1 gearing ratio. It’s an easy upgrade option for people who already have a BMG extruder: you need to get a NEMA 14 stepper and print a few parts. If you choose ASA as your main material, all extruder parts will be printed in ASA, with main and accent colors included.
